Welcome to the Bradley Fold Allotments Resources page. Here you’ll find useful links and information to help you make the most of your time on the allotment and stay connected with the community.
Weather & Flood Risk
Use these official links to stay informed about conditions that could affect our allotment, especially during periods of heavy rain.
Live Flood Alerts for Our Area
This is the most important link to check for real-time flood warnings:
- Official Flood Warnings for Bradley Fold Allotment
- This is the official Environment Agency map. If you see our area in Amber (Alert) or Red (Warning), please take precautions with your tools, sheds, and any vulnerable items on your plot.
Live Local River Levels
You can check the level of the River Mersey using the official monitoring station (the nearest being Northenden). This can give you an early indication if the river level is rising:
- River Mersey Level at Northenden
- This page shows a graph of the current river height. Check to see if the level is rising towards the “Flooding is possible” threshold.
Weather Forecast & Rainfall
Flooding is usually caused by heavy or prolonged rainfall. Check the Met Office for the latest forecast and warnings.
- Weather Warnings for the North West
- Look for any Yellow, Amber, or Red warnings for rain.
- Live Rainfall Radar
- This map shows where it is raining right now.
Reporting a Crime or Anti-Social Behaviour
If you witness or are affected by crime on the allotment site — such as theft, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour — it’s important to report it. This helps protect our community and maintain a safe space for everyone.
- Call 101 – To report non-emergency crimes to the police.
