Bradley Fold Allotments is grateful to a number of sponsors, supporters, and volunteers who help us maximise the benefits of our gardening.
In 2024 we built the Community Access Plot with generous sponsorship and donations from a number of local and national organisations.
We are extremely grateful to everyone for their help.

We received £4000 from WeLoveMCR charity, which is the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s personal charity. The Community Access Plot was opened by the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Paul Andrews in a small ceremony in June 2024.
£1500 from Tesco Stronger Starts scheme, awarded after a public vote in our local Tesco stores.

£1500 from Didsbury Open Gardens, a local charity providing platform for gardeners in Didsbury to open their gardens one day per year allowing people to see gardening excellence and raise money for charities.
£1500 from Manchester City Council Neighbourhood Investment Fund, for which we are grateful to our local councillors in Didsbury East and Didsbury West wards.

External Volunteer Groups
We are very grateful for the ongoing support and effort of volunteers from the following companies and organisations who have donated their time and hard work to help us.
The groups were initially helping us construct the Community Access Plot but since then have helped us with many projects such as:
- Maintenance on the Community Plot
- Helping harvest and maintain the community orchards we have on site
- Helping out plot holders who need a heavy job done
- Harvesting for the benefit of local food banks and community kitchens
- Building dead hedges around the allotment site which are great havens for wildlife and beneficial insects.
We are proud to have worked with:
Turner and Townsend, Manchester based construction, project and innovation company.
Siemens, global project and innovation, with office in Didsbury and all over the UK.
The Growth Company, leading social enterprise delivering insight, business, employment and skills support.
The Environment Agency, a government executive non-departmental body, creating better places for wildlife and people and focusing on a sustainable environment
