RHS Didsbury in Bloom – Bradley Fold, Silver Gilt Winner

Bradley Fold has entered RHS Northwest in Bloom for the last three years. The allotments won Level 3, Silver, in 2012 and Level 5, Gold, in 2013 . Last year we were awarded Level 4, Silver Gilt, missing gold again by just a few points. The awards are on display in the shop.

As part of the project, we bought the barrels by the car park and planted them up and have planted a number of bulbs in and close to the site. Last year some daffodils were planted on Ford Lane just past the allotment entrance and these are now coming up. Mostly it is about showing the judges what we do on the allotments which is to look after the land and grow things.

Bradley Fold will now be part of the entry for RHS Britain in Bloom national finals, since it is a part of the successful Didsbury in Bloom group which, as a whole, was awarded Best Urban Community in the North West in 2014. Something to live up to!

Judging will be at the end of July / beginning of August
